In this study, we present a novel crowdsourcing-based approach to evaluate mobile network quality at Cheikh Anta DIOP University, located in Dakar, Senegal. Traditional methods of assessing network performance often require significant resources and infrastructure. By leveraging the power of crowdsourcing through a mobile application, we collected real-time data on network quality from various locations within the university campus. This approach enabled us to gather extensive data on signal strength, coverage, bandwidth and other metrics. The collected data was analyzed to generate comprehensive coverage maps and performance curves, highlighting areas of strong and weak network performance. Our results provide valuable insights for network operators of Senegal and university administrators to enhance network services and improve user experience. This approach demonstrates the efficacy of crowd-sourcing in conducting large-scale network quality assessments in educational environments.
