Caractérisation industrielle des fibres monomodes
May 21, 1985
OPTO'85
A device, which follows the CCITT recommendations, has been developed to measure attenuation, spot-size and cut-off wavelength of single-mode fibers in the 0.9 to 1.6 μm wavelength range. In developing this device, great care was given to reliability and ease of use. It is planned to use this device to measure the chromatic dispersion by the interferometric method. The results and conclusions for such an application as well as a comparison with measurement performed on a Raman fiber are presented in this paper.
