The Academic Citizens’ Assembly – GE 2025 brought together 27 participants on 01.11.2025 to rethink how democracy can be revitalized to shape a sustainable, inclusive society within 15–20 years. Through two deliberative rounds generating 28 proposals and 659 votes, participants converged on priorities including creating accessible public spaces, expanding shared governance training, and establishing neighborhood citizens’ councils with participatory budgets. They emphasized strengthening democratic practice in schools, improving clarity and accessibility of voting information, and exploring innovative political structures such as a three-chamber system. The results highlight strong public support for practical, community-rooted democratic renewal and more inclusive decision-making processes.
