We introduce for the first time a tuning mechanism for optofluidic devices by embedding a Micro-Air-Bag (MAB) actuator inside a microfluidic chip. Multiple tunable optical elements controlled through the pressure of compressed air were demonstrated. (C)2009 Optical Society of America
