Choice of a method for in situ recovery of 3-pyridylacetic acid formed by biotransformation with Pseudomonas oleovorans
1996
The evaluation of sepn. processes is demonstrated at the example of the title compd. (I) formed by biotransformation of 3-ethylpyridine with P. oleovorans. For extn., Aliquat 336 and Alamine 336 were tested. Extn. and back-extn. were employed simultaneously. Alamine 336 was more efficient in sepg. aq. solns. of I. Both extns. needed several hours for completion. [on SciFinder (R)]
