This paper presents the development and validation of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) integrated into a shoe insole prototype for gait analysis. A TENG sensor design is proposed, characterized, and tested in diverse locomotion scenarios. The TENG demonstrated promising results in locomotion detection, cadence estimation, and velocity estimation, thereby showing substantial potential for future applications in human locomotion analysis.
