Abstract

This article describes a partnership between architects and engineers researching in Switzerland and Brazil around innovative experiences on Textile Reinforced Concrete, which aim at the upgrade of the “argamassa armada” technology developed by brazilian architect João Filgueiras Lima, Lelé in the 1980's. Since 2016, this research is developed upon knowledge exchange and new pedagogical approaches by means of construction work-shops and hands–on student activities which result in update of twentieth century prefab technologies within a sustainable and contemporary framework, materialized by a Textile Reinforced Concrete Prototype Pavilion built in Fribourg, Switzerland.
