« Coquelicot 20 », revitalisation de l’espace publique et culturel de la Jonction
Après l’échec essuyé en 2019 lors de la construction de logements sur l’ancien site d’Artamis, l’association « Pour Que Pousse Coquelicot » s’est reformée et se bat aujourd’hui pour l’approbation d’une nouvelle version de leur projet: la construction d’un site culturel autogéré dans le quartier de la Jonction. A la recherche d’un terrain pouvant accueillir une telle ambition, mais aussi de renouer avec les miettes d’Artamis, l’associaion a choisi de s’installer sur l’ancien dépôt des TPG qui jouxte l’Usine Kügler, à la pointe de la Jonction. D’une superficie de 19’650 mètres carré, le terrain permet d’accueillir un pôle autogéré de création et d’expression fonctionnant comme incubateur socio-culturel où acteurs, créateurs et spectateurs se côtoient et échangent. « Coquelicot 2.0 » met alors l’accent sur la porosité et sur l’accessibilité des lieux en créant un carrefour social, culturel, mais aussi paysager, dans lequel des rampes et des plateformes végétalisées desservent les diverses fonctions (boîte de nuit, théâtre, cafés, ateliers partagés, skatepark, etc). Erigé comme lieu public et alternatif, le bâtiment propose même deux pistes de ski de 180m et 250m de long qui accueillent chaque semaine les entraînements de l’Association Lémanique des Skieurs Freestyle (ALSF).
