Switch-speed considerations for viologen-metal oxide displays
2003
Electrochromic Materials and Applications: Proceedings of the International Symposium
The charging kinetics of viologen-TiO2 displays was studied by electrochem. techniques. Resistive and capacitive effects were analyzed in terms of a simple model for the charging kinetics in optical switches. For large-segment devices the model resistance was fully ascribed to the lateral charge transport in the conducting glass substrates. The model capacitance in medium size devices was found to be detd. largely by the capacitance of the SnO2:Sb film of the counter electrode.
