Results of computer simulation of subsynchronous resonance of synchronous generators
Shaft systems of large turbine-generators can be subjected to high torsional stresses due to subsynchronous resonance especially in networks with capacitor- compensated lines. A second benchmark model for computer simulation of this phenomena has been proposed recently [1]. This one, more realistic in actual operation of a power system, permits to compare different analytic methods and simulations realized on this subject. It provides specifically two system configurations as benchmark models:
