Measurement of differential cross sections for individual rotational quantum transitions in the scattering of lithium(1+) ions by molecular hydrogen at Ec.m. = 0.6 eV
The energy-loss spectra were studied of Li+ ions during scattering by H2 by using a time-of-flight technique. Individual rotational quantum transitions were resolved and differential cross sections were obtained. The results are in agreement with classical Monte Carlo calcns. of R. A. La Budde and R. B. Bernstein (1971).
