Metallic Optical Nanostructures: a Solution for Planar Integrated Sensors on Waveguides

We study the optical properties of two different metallic nanostructure arrays for lable-free sensing applications. The sensors are optimized to detect refractive index (RI) variations. The optical interaction between light and analyte is enhanced by field localization in the metallic cavity
