Health monitoring of composite structures by embedded FBG and interferometric Fabry-Perot sensors
In this study are proposed two different procedures for health monitoring of composite materials from the strain and the acoustic emission measurement. Two systems based on optic fibre sensors were developed based on a fibre Bragg grating and a Fabry-Perot interferometer for strain and acoustic emission sensing.
