Biosignals 2009: Proceedings Of The International Conference On Bio-Inspired Systems And Signal Processing
Living organisms are endowed with three structural principles: multicellular architecture, cellular division, and cellular differentiation. Implemented in digital according to these principles, our DSP circuits present self-organizing mechanisms like configuration, cloning, cicatrization, and regeneration. These mechanisms are made of simple processes such as growth, load, branching, repair, reset, and kill. The description of a configurable molecule implementing the self-organizing mechanisms and its application to a multiplier function constitute the core of this paper.
