Spectral phase conjugation by quasi-phase-matched three-wave mixing

A novel spectral phase conjugation scheme by three-wave mixing is proposed. It is shown that a phase-conjugated and time-reversed replica of the incoming signal can be generated, if appropriate quasi-phase matching is achieved and the three-wave mixing process is transversely pumped by a short second-harmonic pulse. © 2004 Elsevier B.V.
