Cell sorting by dielectrophoresis for evaluation of lysis efficiency in continuous flow
2010
Proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (MicroTAS 2010)
This paper reports on a device capable of electrical cell lysis and evaluation of lysis efficiency in continuous flow using dielectrophoretic cell sorting. The device uses an innovative design, called liquid electrodes, to perform both cell lysis and cell sorting. A study of the cell position after sorting shows a very efficient lysis when a voltage of 55 Vpp is applied, whereas a voltage of 28Vpp does not induce any lysis.
