Thermo-economic modeling of CO2 capturing processes

Rossati, Marco
2010

In the prospect of reducing the greenhouse gas emissions contributing to the global warming the study of CO2 capturing processes is essential. The purpose of this project would be to study more in detail the chemical absorption with amines for CO2 separation in order to develop thermodynamic and economic models based on correlations to predict the separation ratio, the energy consumption and the cost. These models will then be used to evaluate the thermo-economic performance for different operating conditions.
