Investigation and comparison between classical and state-space control for the entry VSI of a frequency converter.
2002
Nowadays, multilevel VSIs (Voltage Source Inverter) begin to be widely used in middle and high power installations such as variable speed drives, FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System) and windformers for example. In these systems, 2 VSIs are put back to back to create a frequency converter. The present paper will investigate the entry level VSI of such a frequency converter, by comparing classical control and state-space control applied to this VSI.
