An analysis of steady operating conditions and power-transfer capacity of a power line equipped with controlled shunt compensation
2006
Steady operating conditions of an extra-high-voltage power line equipped with controlled shunting reactors are considered. The required control of the reactors is shown that enables the permissible levels of voltage at intermediate points of the power line to be ensured under low-load conditions and the transmission of the maximum power under maximum-load conditions. The limit of power transferred is determined. The obtained results are illustrated on the example of a 750 kV power line
