Using raytraverse to render high accuracy images

Wasilewski, Stephen William
August 29, 2023
The 21st International Radiance Workshop

Raytraverse is a python based software that helps to efficiently organize and guide the sampling of a lighting simulation within a scene. Radiance is embedded within Raytraverse to provide accurate and efficient solutions for each sampled ray. This talk will cover the ways that the two tools can work together to efficiently produce high quality images and present some techniques for evaluating this quality. Image based analysis is an important complement to larger scoped metric based analysis by providing a more experiential output still grounded in physically accurate results.
