Heated membranes for stencil lithography application

Boujnah, Sahbi
June 8, 2012

This project aims to improve the technique of self-cleaning stencil based on heated membranes and minimize the clogging of stencil’s apertures. To this end, theory on vapor condensation has been developed for Aluminum, Chromium, Titanium, Gold and Platinum in order to quantify the optimal temperature and incident rate necessary to inhibit clogging. Later, simulations have been made on Comsol Multiphysics in order to study the effect of the heat generated by the stencil on the substrate based on radiation theory.
