Outside dynamics for daylightful indoors

Andersen, Marilyne
October 23, 2020
Nordic symposium for architectural research 2020 and 12th Annual Symposium of Architectural Research 2020

Access to natural light – particularly precious in northern latitudes – greatly impacts how a building is experienced by its occupants. It affects their well-being, notably from their health and biological clock perspectives, but also their perceived visual and thermal comfort, or their emotional response. This lecture explores current research efforts reaching out to different fields of science to bring these considerations into the design of places of delightful – and daylightful – living.
