We enter the multi-stability regime of an optical microresonator to generate heteronuclear soliton molecules. Ultrafast electro-optical sampling reveals the bound structures of such soliton molecules, despite comprising solitons of dissimilar amplitudes, durations and frequencies. (C) 2019 The Author(s)
