This presentation focuses on one specific aspect of the history of education: the relationship between activism, construction, and the question of student housing. By focusing on three case studies that include the medieval college, the Jesuit college, and a few contemporary examples, the presentations try to shed light on the way through which students' struggles and organization affected also the construction politics of the city.
