A Transmission Line Model With Frequency Dependent Equivalent Parameters in the Alternative Transient Program (ATP)
A new model of a finite length transmission line over a conducting surface suitable for use in transient analysis in the time domain is presented. This approach is based on the method of discrete models and takes into account the frequency dependence of the equivalent inductance and resistance of the line. The proposed model is included into ATP. A comparison is made between the results obtained using different mathematical models of the line for the analysis of transient phenomena on transmission lines.
