Membrane-spanning bent helix modeling receptor protein channel function
1990
Peptides : chemistry, structure and biology
Dansyl-(Ala-Aib-Ala-Aib-Ala)3-Pro-Ala-Aib-Ala-Aib-Ala-Trp-OMe [(I), where Aib is a-aminoisobutryate] is a bent a-helical peptide which displays ion channel activity characteristic of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. The membrane organization, side-chain and backbone motions, and voltage dependence of the I ion channel are discussed. [on SciFinder (R)]
