Alcoholate Clusters ("Aggregates") and Their Role in Alkyne Forming Elimination Reactions
Kinetic data for the dehydrochlorination of (E)- and (Z)-MeCH:CClC.tplbond.CCMe3 by KOCMe3 (I) in different solvents suggested that I assocs. participated in a push-pull, conveyor-belt mechanism. MeC.tplbond.CC.tplbond.CCMe3 was the only product from both olefin isomers. [on SciFinder (R)]
