Adaptive large neighborhood search heuristic for the elevator dispatching problem

In this project, we will focus on developing an Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search algorithm to provide solutions for the Elevator Dispatching Problem with destination control. DC provides the space to optimize the assignment of passengers to elevators in a way that minimizes the total waiting time of passengers. The problem will be viewed from a static perspective (set of passengers and their arrival times will be known). The student will develop an ALNS algorithm that will provide good solutions to the problem.
