This dataset supports the publication 'Elastocapillary menisci mediate interaction of neighboring structures at the surface of a compliant solid' by Lebo Molefe and John M. Kolinski, Physical Review E, (2023). The data are surface profiles of textured surfaces made from the compliant polymer PDMS CY 52-276. Please refer to the publication and its supplemental material for details. Contents Four folders containing the code and data required to produce the figures in the journal article and supplemental material, plus some additional data. NOTE: The directory '/raw_data/' contains all raw data for the surfaces analyzed, and is rather large in size.
Consider leaving this directory out when downloading unless the raw data are needed. Readme A .txt file describing contents of code and datasets. Code Contains Python code to produce Figures 2–5 and 7 in the main text, as well as supplementary Figures 1, 4–6, and 7. Data Contains data needed to plot the figures mentioned above, as well as supporting data. The data includes 20 trials of rheometry measurements on PDMS CY 52-276 from an Anton Para MCR 302 rheometer, performed as detailed in the Supplementary Material. Raw data Contains all raw data (.ASC files produced by Bruker Contour X's Vision64 software) used for the analysis, as well as a metadata file (process_parameters.csv). Plots Contains output of plotting code corresponding to the figures mentioned above.
