The 0221 Collection documents the work of three architects - Patrick Chiché, Dimitri Démétriadès and Dimitri Papadaniel - active between 1979 and 2015 in the fields of solar, bioclimatic and experimental architecture. It comprises two main sub-funds. Sub-collection 0221.01, created by Dimitri Démétriadès, includes in particular two housing complexes built for the CIPEF: in Préverenges (1984-1989) and on the Triaudes site in Ecublens (1992-1996). Sub-collection 0221.02, created by Dimitri Papadaniel, includes both personal projects and projects in collaboration with D. Démétriadès and P. Chiché, as well as collaborations with other architects such as Luigi Snozzi. It includes files on the Montheron Civil Protection Centre (1979), the EPFL Solar Energy Laboratory (1981), the Heliakos Solar Houses (1982-1996) and several competitions. The collection reflects the interdisciplinary and experimental approach of its creators, as well as their early commitment to the integration of renewable energies in buildings.
