Our study is then pursued with fracture planes made of several asperities describing the influence of heterogeneities pattern on the regime of crack propagation. We observe that during the fast depinning of tougher asperity, a part of potential energy is dissipated as kinetic energy released in the form of elastic waves emitted at the interface. The role of elastic waves during dynamic rupture of heterogeneous interfacestext::conference output::conference presentation
