A l'image de son nouveau slogan, "<em>Unlocking Knowledge</em>", Infoscience vise à soutenir la science ouverte et plus particulièrement la politique de libre accès de l'EPFL par auto-archivage (voie verte). La nouvelle interface apporte une meilleure visibilité et accessibilité des productions et publications des autrices et auteurs de l'EPFL, facilitant ainsi une large diffusion du savoir et de la recherche de l’institution.</p> <p class="text-justify"> Lancée en 2004, Infoscience est la source de référence pour le signalement et la diffusion des publications scientifiques et résultats de recherche produits à l'EPFL, avec près de 180'000 publications et travaux répertoriés. Elle contient notamment l’intégralité des 10'300 thèses de doctorat soutenues à l'EPFL. Actuellement, 33 % des contenus sont en <em>Open Access</em>, rendant une part significative de la recherche accessible à toutes et tous, en adéquation avec l'<a href="https://www.epfl.ch/research/open-science/fr/"><em>Open Science Initiative</em></a> de l’institution.<br><br>L'évolution vers un outil de nouvelle génération et la mise en service de la nouvelle interface ont nécessité plusieurs mois de travail intensif, incluant la migration de l’ensemble des données existantes. Ce projet d'envergure a été mené en partenariat par la Bibliothèque de l’EPFL (SISB) et la Direction des Systèmes d’Information (DSI), avec l’appui de la société 4Science. </p> <p class="font-weight-bold">Une multitude de nouvelles fonctionnalités</p> <p class="text-justify">Ce nouvel outil fait la part belle aux améliorations et nouveautés. Il présente de manière globale et interconnectée les résultats de recherche, les profils des chercheuses et chercheurs, ainsi que les informations sur les laboratoires et unités de recherche, renforçant ainsi la visibilité de la production académique de l'EPFL, grâce au respect des standards internationaux et à une meilleure interopérabilité. <br>Pour le bénéfice de la communauté EPFL, les processus de dépôt et d'importation ont été simplifiés et optimisés. L'intégration de sources de données comme Scopus et arXiv, la possibilité de lier son profil Infoscience avec son profil ORCID, et l'import de publications via un fichier BibTeX facilitent désormais l'enrichissement de la plateforme. Un tableau de bord utilisateur permet à chacune et chacun de suivre ses dépôts. L'accès à des statistiques et des indicateurs bibliométriques plus complets favorisera l'analyse approfondie de l'impact des recherches. D'autres améliorations sont à découvrir<br><br>Pour faciliter la transition et la prise en main du nouvel Infoscience, une <a href="https://go.epfl.ch/infoscience"> page web dédiée</a> et une <a href="https://help-infoscience.epfl.ch/">aide en ligne</a> sont à la disposition des utilisatrices et utilisateurs. Des ajustements et des fonctionnalités supplémentaires seront progressivement déployés au cours des prochains mois. True to its new slogan, "Unlocking Knowledge", Infoscience aims to support Open science and specifically EPFL's open access policy through self-archiving (green route). The new interface enhances the visibility and accessibility of EPFL authors' works and publications, thereby facilitating the wide dissemination of the institution's knowledge and research.</p> <p class="text-justify">Launched in 2004, Infoscience is the reference source for reporting and disseminating scientific publications and research results produced at EPFL, with nearly 180,000 publications and works listed. It notably includes all 10,300 doctoral theses defended at EPFL. Currently, 33% of the content is in Open Access, making a significant portion of the research accessible to all, in line with the institution's <a href="https://www.epfl.ch/research/open-science/fr/"><em>Open Science Initiative</em></a>.<br><br>The evolution towards a next-generation tool and the commissioning of the new interface required several months of intensive work, including the migration of all existing data. This major project was carried out in partnership by the EPFL Library (SISB) and the Information Systems Directorate (DSI), with the support of the company 4Science.</p> <p class="font-weight-bold">A multitude of new features</p> <p class="text-justify">This new tool highlights numerous improvements and new features. It presents research results, researcher profiles, and information on laboratories and research units in a comprehensive and interconnected manner, thereby enhancing the visibility of the school's academic output through adherence to international standards and improved interoperability.<br>For the benefit of the EPFL community, the deposit and import processes have been simplified and optimized. The integration of data sources such as Scopus and arXiv, the ability to link one's Infoscience profile with an ORCID profile, and the import of publications via a BibTeX file now facilitate the enrichment of the platform. A user dashboard allows everyone to monitor their deposits. Access to more comprehensive statistics and bibliometric indicators will promote in-depth analysis of research impact. Additional improvements are yet to be discovered.<br><br>To facilitate the transition and adoption of the new Infoscience, a <a href="https://go.epfl.ch/infoscience">dedicated web page</a> and <a href="https://help-infoscience.epfl.ch/">online help</a> are available to users. Adjustments and additional features will be progressively deployed over the coming months.
