One of the most promising fields is hydropower (Ahmad and Hossain, 2020 and Yazdi and Moridi, 2018). Many existing reservoirs have untapped potential to be exploited, provided they are operated in an optimal way. To this end, many algorithms have been established, all dealing with different issues that are recurrent in optimization problems. This work aims at developing an algorithm to optimize the energy production of the Enguri power plant in Georgia, the most productive one of the country and therefore vital to Caucasus’ regional electricity system. Besides the main objective of the algorithm, one will have to be careful about the impacts the management of the reservoir will have downstream, and other operational constraints.Development of an optimization tool for the electricity production of the Enguri power plant in Georgiastudent work::master thesis
