Résumé

Existing font rasterization systems use grid constraints or hints in order to rasterize outline characters. Advanced grid constraints include snapping techniques for producing uniform raster characters without preliminary outline regularization. They also offer tools for raster character generation at screen resolution. Nevertheless, problems associated with the rasterization of strokes given by low-curvature curves cannot be solved by grid-fitting techniques. They require advanced knowledge-based character preprocessing
