MEX, a programming language that supports discrete event simulation

Introduces a programming language called MEX. It supports distributed programming, symmetric inter-process communication and synchronization and a virtual time mode. The virtual time mode makes the language suitable for discrete event simulation. MEX has been used to build a simulation of a Wide Area Network, which is presented
