Optimization of the surfactant (AOT) concentration in a reverse micellar extraction process
1992
Abstract
The surfactant concn. is an important parameter for optimizing protein extn. with microemulsions. Equil. and kinetic expts. show that the surfactant concn. can be reduced by a factor of 20 compared to published data. The mass-transfer coeff. is found to be only about 18% lower for low Na di-2-ethylhexylsulfosuccinate (AOT) concns. [on SciFinder (R)]
