A gravimetric app. contg. catalyst particles (H2SO4 on silicate) is used to det. the ethylene [74-85-1] absorption rate during the prepn. of vinyl acetate [108-05-4] from ethylene and AcOH. The influence of the absorption process on the overall reaction at various AcOH concns. is detd. from the reaction rate and absorption rate. [on SciFinder (R)]
