Abstract

The side chain of 4-allylphenols was easily deprotonated by BuLi-KOCMe3. Consecutive treatment with FB(OMe)2 and H2O2 afforded the title alcs. I (R = H, R1 = H, OMe; R = R1 = OMe). [on SciFinder (R)]
