Abstract
Metalation of cyclohexene by Me3SiCH2K, then treatment with ethylene oxide gave 83% 2-cyclohexene-1-ethanol. Similarly, Me2CHCH:CH2 gave 37% Me2C:CH(CH2)3OH and 28% CH2:CHCMe2CH2CH2OH. [on SciFinder (R)]
