Silberion-induzierte Ringöffnung von Chlorofluorocyclopropanen

MeCR:CFCH2OH (R = Me, Pr, (CH2)3OAc) were prepd. in 53-60% yield by ring-cleavage of the cyclopropanes I with AgOAc-AgBF4 to give 50-64% MeCR:CFCH2OAc followed by hydrolysis. The isomeric acetates were easily sepd. by gas chromatog. [on SciFinder (R)]
