Abstract

A review with 6 refs. of the use of adherent polymer hydrogels to prevent attachment of platelets to artery walls. Adhesion peptides incorporated in these hydrogels may further inhibit thrombogenesis and addnl. promote reendothelialization. Hydrogels with backbone protease-sensitive sites may be eroded by tissue proteases and thus promote remodeling during wound healing. [on SciFinder (R)]
