Modeling CLiMP-63 spatio-temporal distribution and its interplay with Post-translational modification
2018
Abstract
Post-translational modifications may affect a protein’s localization, half-life or structural conformation. Palmitoylation is the only re- versible lipid modification known to date. It involves the attachment of a fatty acid (palmitoyl) to a protein. Here, radiolabeling experiments are used to calibrate a mathematical model describing CLiMP-63 localization, palmitoylation and dimerization.
