A green route and rational design for ZnO-based high-efficiency photovoltaics

In this work, at room-temperature and without any organic surfactants we reported two green and facile approaches for rapid synthesis of ZnO nanorods (NRs) and nanosheet-based ZnO hierarchical structures (NSHSs). Based on their structural advantages, the quasi-solid ZnO-DSCs achieved a record photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.83%. This journal is © the Partner Organisations 2014.
