Le film explore le concept d’urbanité à travers l’observation des villes du Monde, tout particulièrement en Chine. Ce projet théorique ambitieux propose aussi un intense dialogue avec les « villes invisibles » d’Italo Calvino. Il s’agit enfin d’un film-manifeste, une contribution à l’invention d’un langage cinématographique contemporain pertinent pour le travail scientifique. This film explores the concept of urbanity through the observation of the city throughout the World, especially in China. This ambitious theoretical project establishes also an intense dialogue with Italo Calvino’s ‘invisible cities’.
