SNAr-based macrocyclization via biaryl ether formation. Application in natural product synthesis
1997
Abstract
A review with >50 refs. on a macrocyclization method based on intramol. SNAr reaction developed recently in the author's lab. Mild conditions, high yield and versatility are the characteristic features of the method. Application to the synthesis of 14-, 16-, and 17-membered macrocycles found in natural products is demonstrated. [on SciFinder (R)]
