Abstract

A review with 25 refs. The synthesis of a bis-macrocycle C-O-D-O-E (16 + 14) of vancomycin, a tris-macrocycle C-O-D-O-E-F-O-G of teicoplanin (16 + 16 + 14), and a 22-chain AB-C-O-D macrocycle contg. aryl-aryl and biaryl ether bonds of vancomycin is described. [on SciFinder (R)]
