The promise of multifunctionality in polymer nanocomposites, sensor and actuation capabilities, in addition to mechanical strength by controlling dispersion of nano inclusions in the polymer matrix is the driving force of this investigation. The major goal is to implement these materials in engineering applications from biomedical to aerospace.
