000126139 520__ $$aThis work describes the development of a software framework allowing to simulate range data acquired with different kind of sensors such as stereo camera and ultrasonic probe. The sensors characteristic error are modeled with probability density functions. The range data are used to describe the external shape of deformable objects and combining them with force measurements it allows to estimate the physical properties of the object.
