Technical issues associated with the control of steady state tokamaks

Plasma control concepts are introduced which are likely to change when going from a 500-1000 s tokamak pulse to the discharges in a steady state tokamak, whose more economical design relies on the reduced number of thermal and mechanical stress duty cycles.
