The results of a predictive study of plasma energy confinement in Ignitor, performed with a 1 1/2-dimensional transport code and the Tang-Redi transport model, are reported. For comparison, performance predictions for the Next European Torus (NET), adopting similar assumptions on plasma transport, are also presented.
